3D Printed Knee Prosthesis

During my undergraduate studies I took a small assignment on 4-bar mechanisms way overboard. The results were pretty cool!

I ended up printing a working knee prosthesis, capable of actuating in a safe reliable manner while locking into a standing position. This device could be printed in one piece, making it a good concept for cheap prosthesis for a growing child. Here are some videos showing the actuation of the knee, as modeled in Working Model, and the concept extrapolated to an entire leg.
