3D Printing

For curiosity’s sake, I decided to take a stab at designing and building my own desktop 3D printer. I started from scratch, buying online kits and assembling them incorrectly. After months of learning how NOT to 3D print, I finally figured some stuff out. I learned how to deal with many of the challenges of designing for print, cooling, materials, maintenance, and tons more.

I have used my printer extensively for prototyping in college projects, during my internships, and for my own projects. The whole process of learning how to 3D print at home has changed my approach to designing and manufacturing.
