O’Connor Sutton Cronin
I worked as a summer intern at O’Connor Sutton Cronin multidisciplinary consulting engineers. I was part of the award winning team that designed the LUAS cross city tram installation project in Dublin city center. I solved tram design bottleneck problems crossing O'Connell Bridge in Dublin, overlaying the modern tram track design on the iconic and historic bridge. With reference to the original 19th century drawings, I solved problems with the drainage and track foundation design, where the tram interacted with the protected granite structure of the bridge.
I became an integral part of the team, acting as Project Liaison and Document Controller, managing the transfer of all technical documents for the large-scale civil infrastructure project. For these contributions I was recognized and hired at Clandillon Civil Consulting the following year.
