As a senior R&D engineer at LightForce Orthodontics, I have been instrumental in driving innovation and advancing medical device technology within the organization. My role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and achievements, including:

• Research and Development Leadership: Spearheaded research and design efforts for cutting-edge medical device products. Contributed significantly to the conceptualization, design, and development of both new and existing medical devices, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.

• Innovative Design Contributions: Pioneered inventive systems and mechanisms for the mass production of customized medical devices, streamlining the manufacturing process and enhancing efficiency. This innovation has played a pivotal role in increasing production capacity.

• Technical Expertise: Leveraged extensive experience in various technical areas, including medical device design, physiology, mechanics, materials (metal, ceramic and polymer), 3D printing, imaging, and performance testing. These skills have been instrumental in refining product quality and performance.

• Project Leadership: Led cross-functional teams in the development of new product offerings, overseeing projects from inception, FDA approval, release and support. Collaborated closely with manufacturers to design custom materials, machines and systems, ensuring seamless integration into the production process.

• Systems Understanding: Demonstrated a profound understanding of complex systems, ranging from small-scale components to large-scale manufacturing processes. This holistic comprehension has been vital in optimizing product design and production workflows.

• FDA Approvals: Played a pivotal role in obtaining FDA approval for a Class II Nitinol medical device, showcasing a deep commitment to regulatory compliance and product safety. Acted as the primary inventor, engineer, product manager, and researcher for this critical project.

• Patent Success: My innovative work at LightForce Orthodontics has resulted in the successful filing and issuance of several patents.
